tip: cooking pasta for a cold salad

Pasta, eaten cold in a salad, needs some taste improvements when cooking. Coldness reduces the flavour, so the pasta needs to be cooked in water with the double amount of salt added, roughly 1 tbs of salt for 1 l of water. For the pasta to taste soft when cold, it needs to be cooked a little bit beyond al dente, 1 m will do. Dress the pasta when it is still a little warm, so the dressing coats it better. Use small pieces of ridged pasta like fusilli.
